The Water Equipment and Policy Research Center

The Water Equipment and Policy (WEP) research center is a collaborative organization of member universities and businesses pursuing pre-competitive research that will benefit the water industry.  WEP operates under the auspices of the National Science Foundation Industry/University Collaborative Research Centers (I/UCRC) program.  There are currently approximately 50 I/UCRCs engaged in a broad spectrum of scientific research:

All I/UCRCs are administered by the Engineering Education and Centers Division of NSF's Engineering Directorate.  Research projects at these centers are selected by industry members and carried out by teams of more than 750 faculty members, Postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students.
Industry members benefit with royalty-free access to the intellectual property resulting from scientific discovery.  They also work closely with the brightest student researchers who are prime candidates for future employment.  Thousands of M.S. and Ph.D. graduates, who participated in I/UCRC research can be found throughout American industry and academe.  For more information about the NSF I/UCRC program access the link below.
